Impact Gel About Us

HOW IMPACT GEL CAME ABOUT

Before founding Impact Gel, Matthew Kriesel, along with Richard Childress, owner of multiple racing teams, established Mattec Corporation. They developed the Hutchens Device, a head and neck restraint system that has become highly respected in the racing world.

Matt then invented the Impact Gel compound while maintaining his NASCAR connections. In 2000, Geoff Bodine was involved in a serious accident at the Daytona 500 and credited the gel, which was integrated into his seat, for preventing severe injury.

Matthew Kriesel formally established Impact Gel Corporation in 2002. Since then, we have explored numerous product applications for the Impact Gel formula.

Impact Gel Corporation was created in 2002. From inception, the company worked to refine its gel formulation and experimented with specific product applications for the gel.

What is Impact Gel?

Impact Gel absorbs and dissipates force of impact and pressure points associated with inconsistencies of saddle fit.

Impact Gel is a patented material made of interconnected energy dissipating molecules. These structures, called cross links allow the gel molecules to move freely around one another while remaining linked.
